Animal Sciences Building & Livestock Pavillion Print E-mail
Erected in 1952 and housing the Animal Sciences Department's Administrative offices as well as the Meat Lab and multiple classrooms, the Animal Sciences Building serves as the hub for the program.

Noticeable in front of the Animal Science Building is the "Range to Research" artwork. An art exhibit located on the north side of the Animal Sciences Building. Patricia Musick, an artist from Colorado Springs, designed this project named Range to Research. She used enamel steel murals, steel fences, and stained glass to complete the project that depicts the development of horses, cattle, sheep and swine from the cave paintings in France through development of modern livestock. Deborah Rose, a stained glass artist, Pikes Peak Community College Welding Department, and the Porcelain Company assisted her in the development of the project. The display includes symbols such as DNA, test tubes and animals - all common to the development of the field of Animal Science. In addition the side rails leading into the building include logos from various student and clientele organizations.
