Cowboy Shank-Off, Golf Outing
The annual Cowboy Shank-Off was held on Sunday, May 6, 2007.  Participants enjoyed a day of golfing at Mountain Vista Greens, followed by a horseshoe tournament and dinner at ARDEC in Fort Collins.  The event is an outstanding opportunity to interact not only with the graduate students, but also with the faculty and staff from the Animal Sciences Department.

Spring Branding Student Recognition Banquet
The Spring Branding Student Recognition Banquet was held on April 27, 2007. The student-organized Banquet recognized all student clubs, judging teams and organizations in the department. Each group recognized their members, while the department had an opportunity to showcase their recent awards. The prime rib dinner was catered by the 2007 CSU Meats Judging Team, and the students raised $1400 through a silent auction that was sent to benefit the Southeast Colorado Ranchers/Farmers.
