➢ ABOUT CCW
Colorado State University Collegiate Cattlewomen is a group focused on promoting and educating the public of all ages about the Beef Industry. Activities like Ag Adventure and Ag on the Plaza help us to do this. We work hand in hand with Cattlewomen across the state of Colorado. ➢ ACTIVITIES Collegiate Cattlewomen’s assisted the Colorado Beef Council at their Booth at the National Western Stock Show. We helped by passing out “Beef Bags” filled with free recipes and stickers to the public informing them about Colorado Beef Council and Cattlewomen. We had the great opportunity to attend the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s Cattle Industry Annual Convention and Trade Show in Reno. We attended a number of seminars and guest speakers to keep our group up to date on current beef issues. The trade show was filled with many great companies that we were able to meet and network with. The American National Cattlewomen invited us to join them at their NCBA banquet and new officer induction meeting. ➢ EVENTS We hold an annual Calf to Brisket Seminar and Dinner in September. The seminar features industry speakers as well as a silent auction, making this event one of our major fundraisers. ➢ WHERE AND WHEN Our meetings are held the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Animal Sciences Building.
