Halloween- Trick-or-Treat for Cans When: Wed, 10/31 Time: meet at 5:00 Where: Vern's in Laporte (bottom, back parking lot) Wear costumes and dress up your horse! We also can use people walking on the ground to go up to doors and collect the canned goods. It won't take too long, but is a ton of fun. Please email if you have a horse and need a ride, or if you need to carpool or better directions. Directions: W on 54G (College, but go past 287 bypass) in Laporte, either turn before (right after storage facility on N side) or after the gas station. Drive around to the back, there is a large dirt parking lot E of the gas station with a log fence. Park there. Big Ride rescheduled We're sorry for having to cancel the ride this weekend, but it would have been miserable with the wind and we didn't know if we could even get the trailers up there. The weekend will be November 10 or 11, probably that Saturday. We're working on getting everything worked out again and will be sending out info and a plan once we have it. If you want to go, please email us. Dance/Fundraiser Cancelled. The band cancelled, and no others are available. We just found out right after the meeting, but we won't be able to do it. However, Chuck did say that we are more than welcome to help/work the Valentine's Day Dance that they always put on. Sorry. Halloween Part at Jeremy's When: Sat, Oct. 27 Time: 8:30 pm Where: his place More info will be coming, including directions, otherwise please email. Please dress up in a costume, and there will be dancing and other fun stuff going on. Please come!!!! Breeder's Cup Party Saturday When: 12-5, Sat, Oct 27 Where: Pappy's Corner Pub on the SE corner of Shields and Horsetooth What: Lunch and horseracing. Why: To gather with veterinary and equine students, professors, and clinicians to watch the "sport of kings", eat good food, win prizes, and check out the silent auction. Tickets are only $5! Gets you in the door, appetizer bar, a drink, and entered into prize drawings. You can buy tickets at the door. All are welcome- bring your friends and family! Hope to see you Saturday.
