Budweiser Brewery Tour & Clydesdales

  • Tours run 10am – 4pm
  • March 8th
    • We're planning on going on the tour the 8th, as it looks like everyone can make it then.  We're picking a meeting time at our next meeting, so come with a time in mind.  I am trying to figure out who to contact to get a "behind the scenes tour" in the stables, and will have more info (hopefully) at the next meeting.
  • Tours are complimentary

Shirts

  • Nicole can purchase them through her uncle or the local company that her sorority uses, and will be getting quotes.
  • We need ideas for designs and colors.
  • Chest patch, back, words down sleeve, etc
  • We’re most likely going to get long sleeved tees, unless a large % objects.

Back Country Horsemen of America

  • “Back Country Horsemen of America is a non-profit corporation made up of state organizations, affiliates and at large members.  [They] are dedicated to preserving the historical use of recreational stock in the back country commensurate with [their] heritage.”
  • “Back Country Horsemen of America has been around since 1973 working to perpetuate the historic use of recreational stock in the back country. service and education joined a determination to protect [their] heritage of back country stock use”
  • Would like to come and speak to and put on a PowerPoint presentation us at one of our meetings.
  • Possibly February 27th or March 12th
  • Kate will talk to Chuck (our advisor) tomorrow night about setting a definite date.

Spring Break

  • Rocky Mountain Horse Expo
  • March 14th – 16th
  • Denver – National Western Complex
  • Tickets must be purchased: ahead (online (Tickets West) or King Soopers)
    • Student Day pass $9
    • 3-day pass $30
    • Championship Ranch Rodeo (Saturday) $13 ($15 at the gate)
    • Student Day pass & Championship Ranch Rodeo $22
  • Hotel Room/Accomadations
    • Will get Friends/Family rate through Nicole’s dad!
    • Otherwise, some club members have family in Denver and we can always stay there if there are not a lot of people

Packing Demonstration

  • We did one in the fall.
  • Will be at a meeting (probably April when it’s warmer!)

Ride in April

  • Kate is going to talk to Chuck tomorrow night about possibly doing this with him.
  • If Chuck can’t make time in April (he’s busy planning and executing the pack trip for his class), we’ll do a ride to Lory, Horsetooth, or Bobcat Ridge.
  • Most likely will be the weekend of 4/12 and 4/13

As for a packing trip/overnight trip with horses, if people are interested and weather stays good, there may be a possibility of doing something.  This will be determined later.  Have a great week.
