This Angus cow herd has a history of over 50 years of selection focused on improving economically important traits. Selection has continued to focus on producing cattle adapted to high altitudes and that have excellent calving ease, fertility, and carcass performance. The herd continues to be used for research and development of more accurate EPDs for traits that directly influence ranch profitability. The Center will sell approximately 45 ranch-developed, yearling bulls this year. These bulls have all been tested for high-altitude adaptability and breeding soundness. Within-herd EPDs will also be provided for all of the bulls. Please join us for the day! |
