From the Desk of William Wailes (Head, Animal Sciences):
Greetings to all of you from Fort Collins, we have had a beautiful weekend in late February. Commodity prices continue to be the subject of discussion around our livestock industry. As our department heads into the spring semester, our faculty and students continue to impress me on the depth knowledge and experiences we achieve each day. It seems that the bad news in California has taken center stage with many of our industry groups, but it will give our students an opportunity to learn and present their views regarding animal welfare and animal husbandry solutions. This type of behavior is a great case study for our capstone classes, both from a profitability viewpoint and social study analysis. Have a great spring and please stay connected to Animal Sciences at http://ansci.colostate.edu.
