Accommodations:
A block of rooms are reserved at Siam City Hotel for Workshop participants. Please let the Organizing Committee know if you decide to choose Siam City Hotel in order to get a discount rate.

There are quite a few hotels in the Pratunam (Watergate) and Siam area.

However, these hotels are not within walking distance to Faculty of Science, Mahidol University.
Organizers are planning to provide a shuttle van to and from major hotels (e.g., Siam City Hotel) and sky train stations.

Transportation:

Taxi--
Metered taxi seems to be the most convenient way to get around the city. The charge starts and stays at 35 Baht (~ 1 USD) for the first km. Additional Baht per km is added depending on the distance.

Sky train and subway-
-Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) and Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) are the best ways to beat the traffic in downtown area. Both operate daily between 6 AM until midnight. For more information on BTS and MRT, please visit http://www.bts.co.th/en/map.asp and http://www.bangkokmetro.co.th/index.aspx?Lang=En

Motorcycle--
Although motorcycle is the fastest and the most convenient way to get around Bangkok, it is NOT recommended for inexperienced foreigners.

Attractions:
